Price County Snowmobile Trails
Located in Northcentral Wisconsin midway between Hayward and Minocqua, Price County is home to a variety of natural resources. This native abundance provides endless recreational opportunities such as snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing, boating, fishing, hunting, camping, and ATV riding.
Taylor County Information
Taylor County has a lot to offer in the area of outdoor recreational opportunities. County rivers and lakes combine with federal, state, and county forests to offer the finest in year-round recreation. Taylor County is noted for excellent small game, deer and waterfowl hunting. Game fish and panfish are plentiful with almost 100 lakes in the area. The Chequamegon National Forest covers one-third of Taylor County, providing unlimited opportunities for hiking, camping, bird and wildlife watching, fishing and hunting. Taylor County maintains an excellent forest and park system offering some of the best camping, picnicking, swimming and fishing in the state. Over 300 miles of snowmobile trails, professionally groomed by the Taylor County Snowmobile Association and eleven snowmobile clubs, are available for winter recreational use.
Rusk County Information
Since the time of the great forests, when Rusk County was just starting to grow, this area has been one of the most beautiful in the state. With the coming of the lumber barons many small communities grew and then died when the logging industry dwindled. Ladysmith and Rusk county survived, and the beauty of the "olden days" is still here.
